Information collected by the investigator will be reported in writing and <br />the reports compared and analyzed for discrepancies. <br />d. Refer clients wishing to pursue legal remedies to Department of Fair <br />Employment and Housing (DFEH), Department of Housing and Urban <br />Development (HUD), or private fair housing attorneys. <br />B. Training: <br />3. One annual event (fair housing seminar) focusing on a critical fair housing <br />topic. <br />4. Contact all property owners/landlords and property managers in San <br />Leandro, using the database provided by the City in 2004 and offer them <br />seven training sessions on fair housing issues during the contract period. <br />5. Conduct five fair housing training for tenants and potential homebuyers. <br />6. Conduct two training sessions for realtors during the contract period. <br />NOTE: The number of training sessions for property owners/landlords and <br />property managers may be interchanged with the number of trainings for tenants <br />and homebuyers, in case the turnout at the former is significantly low. The <br />modifications will be made with prior approval of the City. <br />C. Education and marketing: <br />7. Conduct outreach for, but not limited to, property managers, property <br />owners/landlord, tenants, potential homebuyers, realtors, community-based <br />organizations, social service agencies, churches and shelters. The outreach <br />shall comprise of: <br />a. 12 presentations on fair housing issues during the contract period. <br />b. Distribution of 1200 fliers/brochures on fair housing issues, laws and <br />events throughout the contract period to San Leandro residents at public <br />locations such as libraries, churches, community groups, social service <br />agencies and stores. <br />c. Disseminate 20 public service announcements per quarter during the <br />contract period.
