4• <br />area with guidance from the City's Engineering and Transportation <br />staff. The minimum area to be considered is four (4) contiguous <br />block faces unless exceptional circumstances warrant a smaller <br />area as determined by the Engineering and Transportation <br />Department. The residents shall submit a petition to the <br />Engineering and Transportation Department with signatures by <br />adult property owners representing at least seventy-five (75) <br />percent of the addresses within the proposed program area. The <br />proposed hours of permit parking shall be determined by the <br />Engineering and Transportation Director. <br />(i) The petition shall contain a description or a map showing <br />the proposed residential parking permit area. <br />(ii) Said description or map shall be followed in the petition by <br />a statement describing the residential parking permit <br />program and the current residential permit fees. <br />(iii) The statement shall be followed by a signature, printed <br />name, address, and date of signing of the application by a <br />number of adult property owners including at least seventy- <br />five (75) percent of the addresses within the proposed <br />program area. <br />(iv) All petitions shall be the same as the standard petition form <br />developed by City staff. Any petition form different from <br />the standard petition form shall be deemed invalid. <br />
