4. FACILITIES FOR JOINT USE PROGRAMS <br />A. Location of Library <br />The proposed joint use project will be located at the newly constructed Mulford- <br />Marina Branch Library at ] 3699 Aurora Drive, San Leandro, California. <br />B. Library Hours <br />Branch library hours of service for the public shall be Monday and Wednesday, <br />10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and <br />Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for a total of 51.5 hours per week. The San Leandro <br />Bayside Education Center shall be available for student and teacher use, Monday <br />through Friday, gam-3pm, for a total of 30 hours per week. There may be other <br />scheduled times that the Branch Library will accommodate students from local <br />schools for regular library tours, class visits, computer training and student <br />research. <br />C. The Number and Classifications of Staff Members <br />Library staff will include one Librarian, One Senior Library Assistant, ]part-time <br />Science Specialist, and two part-time Clerks/Office Assistants. <br />D. Volunteers <br />Community voh~nteers, both adults and young adults, will be recruited, screened, <br />and trained by the Library. The Library has along-standing volunteer <br />coordination program already set in place with over 350 Library volunteers <br />serving at all City libraries. <br />E. Ownership <br />The City of San Leandro will have ownership of the Mulford-Marina Branch <br />Library building, its furnishings, equipment and the entire book and materials <br />collection. <br />F. Responsibility for Facility Operation, Maintenance, and Management <br />The City of San Leandro will be responsible for the facility operation, <br />maintenance, and management of the Mulford-Marina Branch Library. <br />6 <br />
