The Contractor will provide a preliminary quantity take-off using the Preliminary Design as the <br />basis. Pavement sections may be quantified in square feet at this stage. A preliminary cost <br />estimate for the project will be prepared based on the quantities. <br />No specifications will be prepared for this submittal. <br />City to Provide: <br />• Prior to beginning Task 3 City will prepare one non-conflicting set of City review <br />comments. City will also provide City standard contract documents (`Boilerplate") to the <br />Contractor. <br />Deliverables: <br />• Updated Project Schedule <br />• Full sized Thirty Percent (30°Io) Drawings submittal -Consistent with the Drawing List <br />• Preliminary Quantity Take-off and Cost Estimate No Caltrans type Quantity will be <br />provided. <br />Schedule: Tasks 1 & 2 <br />Preliminary Layout and Cost Estimate <br />TASKS 3, 4 & 5 PS&E <br />Task 3 70% Plans, Specifications and Estimates <br />3 weeks from receipt of `Notice to <br />Proceed' <br />Contractor will prepare 70°Io PS&E based on the review comments from the Preliminary Design <br />submittal. This phase is focused on finalizing geometry so that final specifications and estimates <br />can be prepared in the next phase. Supplemental surveys at conform locations will be performed. <br />Drainage, stage construction, utilities, signal modifications and traffic operations will be <br />incorporated into the plan set. <br />The Contractor will perform a photometric analysis, to be utilized in the street light design to <br />maintain roadway lighting levels. <br />Contractor will distribute the plans to other public agencies and public utilities for review and <br />permits. The Contractor will obtain the location of service points for street lighting, signals, and <br />other electrical items designed by the Contractor. The design of the service points and their <br />electrical feeds will be by others. <br />Contractor will independently incorporate review comments from non-City agencies and utility <br />companies into the plans. Prior to Contractor incorporating these comments into the plans, <br />Contractor will forward them to the City for resolution of conflicts between these comments and <br />City's direction to Contractor.
