• supplemental survey -for additional survey information needed not covered by <br />topographic survey prepared by Bellecci and Associates for the preliminary design <br />phase <br />• incorporate all topographic information into base map, and issue to utility <br />companies. <br />• prepare project base maps including utility information from utility companies, <br />horizontal layout of all proposed hardscape improvements. <br />• light level study of existing lighting levels <br />• Two coordination meetings with landscape architect and City <br />• One meeting with the City and Caltrans to present project base maps <br />• Project administration <br />Deliverables <br />Deliverables at the completion of this phase will be project base maps prepared at <br />appropriate scales showing all documented underground utilities, preliminary <br />horizontal layout of the proposed hardscape improvements, lighting level survey <br />report and analysis <br />Schedule <br />Preliminary Design <br />7 weeks from receipt of `Notice to <br />Proceed' <br />See attached schedule (Exhibit A-1) for breakdown. <br />Task 2 Design Development (35% Design Phase): <br />The Contractor shall develop the hardscape design based on the review comments <br />from the City on the base maps produced under Task 1 <br />Sidewalk removal locations will be identified, locations for the brick banding, street <br />trees, location and type of streetlights will be determined, preliminary irrigation <br />zoning plan and plant list will be developed, street furniture will be selected and <br />located, parking, crosswalks, and planter locations will be determined and shown. <br />Storm drain needs will be investigated and methods of disposing of storm drainage <br />determined. <br />A project Design Development Book will be prepared for the project that will contain <br />information on the pre-manufactured items proposed for the project. These items will <br />include site amenities, site furniture, irrigation equipment, electrical equipment, plant <br />materials, and related items. Exhibits suitable for public presentation will be prepared <br />and the design team will be available to attend one public meeting to review the <br />proposed design with the owners, merchants and interested citizens. <br />Specific tasks to be performed during this phase will include: <br />• Hardscape design <br />• Develop site improvement plans incorporating hardscape layout <br />• Three meetings with design team and City far project review <br />Exhibit A Page 2 of 3 <br />6/T 2/95 MacArthur Streetscape <br />
