Temporary Parking Lots. -Award 2 September 8, 2009 <br />Summary of Public Outreach Efforts <br />Office of Business Development has been in contact with tenants of the office buildings on <br />Callan Street as well as downtown business owners regarding the temporary parking lots <br />Fiscal Impact <br />• The total cost of the 1550 East 14th Street and 262 Davis Street Temporary Parking Lots <br />project is $200,000, including staff time, surveying costs, and testing <br />• Construction cost is estimated to be $170,000 <br />Budget Authority <br />• The parking lot at 1550 East 14th Street will be funded from the existing appropriation in the <br />Estudillo/Callan 2008 Parking Garage account, Account No. 962-86-067, which was <br />allocated as part of the FY 2008-09 City budget, and was transferred into the Albertson's <br />Replacement Parking account, Account No. 962-86-070 <br />• The parking lot at 262 Davis will be funded from the original appropriation in the Chamber <br />of Commerce Demolition account, Account No. 961-83-075, which was allocated as part of <br />the FY 2008-09 City budget and transferred into the Davis/Hays Street Replacement Parking <br />account, Account No. 961-83-077 <br />Attachments <br />Bid Summary <br />CONCLUSION <br />Staff recommends award of contract to Galedridge Construction, Inc. in the amount $155,638.00 <br />for the subject project. <br />K:~AA-C\COUNCIL~2009\9_SEP 08\Temporary Parking Lots AWARD MEM.DOCX <br />
