ACTION ITEMS <br />Public comments are limited to 3 minutes per speaker per item, subject to adjustment by the <br />Mayor. <br />A. Presentation ofFive-Year Budget Forecast Model. <br />Interim Finance Director Perry Carter introduced the five-year budget forecast model, <br />and acknowledged the great work by Finance staff members Christine Galvin, Carla <br />Rodriguez and Mary Ann Perini in developing the model. Mr. Carter described the <br />features of the budget projection model, and its usefulness as a platform to help staff <br />track and assess the impacts of various economic events and issues. Mr. Carter and Ms. <br />Galvin demonstrated how the model worked. <br />Mr. Carter responded to questions from the Council. <br />Mr. Hollister mentioned that the City Council and the public would see the five-year <br />budget forecast model again at the City Council work session on September 28. The <br />following day, there will be two presentations to City employees, at noon and 5:00 p.m. <br />B. Report on Participation in Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) Multi- <br />Jurisdictional Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (provides an overview of the City's <br />participation in the Plan and review of mitigation strategies the City has identified for <br />future disasters). (Item was removed from the agenda.) <br />C. Report on Closed Session Actions Taken <br />No reportable action taken. <br />11. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS <br />A. Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies <br />Councilmember Reed reported on a meeting of the Alameda County Housing Authority <br />Board of Directors. She distributed copies to the Council of a letter that was written by <br />the Housing Authority Board to Senator Barbara Boxer, concerning an anticipated <br />shortfall in the housing choice voucher program as a result of tenants' requests for <br />reevaluation. <br />Vice Mayor Starosciak reported on a meeting of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Steering <br />Committee that she attended with Councilmember Gregory in August. The committee <br />received a virtual tour of bus rapid transit programs operating in other areas. The <br />committee also discussed the process for selection of a Locally Preferred Alternative <br />
