B. Any lighting shall be high pressure sodium or other energy conserving lighting <br />and shall be designed and located so as not to interfere with traffic on adjacent <br />streets and so as not to shine on adjacent properties, details subject to the approval <br />of the City Engineer and Zoning Enforcement Official or Community <br />Development Director. <br />C. All exterior/roof-top mechanical equipment shall be screened from view so as not <br />to be visible from adjacent properties or streets, to the satisfaction of the Zoning <br />Enforcement Official. Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) transformer(s) shall be <br />located underground or, if above ground, shall be shielded or located in an <br />obscure location. This condition shall not apply to wireless cable receivers that <br />do not exceed three feet in diameter. <br />D. The new parking areas shall be paved with an impervious surface and have drainage, <br />wheel stops, lighting, space marking, and directional signs. <br />E. Outdoor parking area lighting shall not employ a light source higher than twelve <br />(12) feet and shall create no cone of direct illumination greater than sixty degrees <br />(60°) from a light source higher than six (6) feet and shall not directly shine onto an <br />adjacent street. <br />IIL FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />A. When an addition is made to an existing building (including an open canopy) <br />sprinklers are required based on the entire area of the building (existing plus new). <br />Show the IBC construction types of the existing and new buildings. Show <br />whether the buildings have automatic sprinkler systems. Sprinklers may be <br />required throughout the new and existing buildings per the San Leandro Building <br />and Fire Codes. Sprinklers systems in buildings are required to be monitored by a <br />UL listed and certificated central station alarm system. <br />B. A minimum 20 feet wide emergency vehicle access road shall be provided and <br />maintained within 150 feet of all the existing walls of the buildings. These roads <br />shall be provided with red curbs or signage that state, "No Stopping Fire Lane <br />CVC22500.1". <br />C. Fire hydrants and fire flow are required based on the San Leandro Fire Code. The <br />information requested in "A", above, is needed to determine the required fire flow <br />and hydrant spacing. Show the location of the public and private hydrants at the <br />site. Provide a copy of the available fire flow for the site. The fire flow <br />information is available from EBMUD. <br />D. There new gates shown on the plans must have a minimum 22 feet wide opening <br />and have Knox key access. <br />E. Yard storage shall be a minimum of 10 feet from property lines and shall not <br />exceed 20 feet high per the Fire Code.
