MINUTES Page 15 City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting-January 19, 2010 • Amanda Kerr v. City of San Leandro, et al., sexual harassment, gender discrimination, retaliation, Bane Act and false imprisonment claims, in the amount of $35,000 As part of the settlement, the parties agree that the City and Kamilah Jackson, Amanda Kerr, Taiwo Pena-Hornung and Christina Tiletile settle the lawsuits brought against the City of San Leandro, J. DeWayne Stancill and other named defendants. The parties emphasize there were unfortunate misunderstandings that may have led to ill-considered allegations that they now regret, and for which they apologize. 11. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS A. Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies Councilmember Reed reported on the Alameda County Housing Authority's budget situation, and its decision to lower its payment standards. The decision would result in tenants having to pay a higher portion of their rents. Councilmember Prola reported that at the recent Alameda County Mosquito Abatement District Board meeting, the Board was provided with an update on West Nile Virus. The District will be conducting its ethics training in the near future. Mayor Santos reported that at ACTIA's Administration, Legislation and Finance (ALF) Committee meeting, it was reported that ACTIA's revenues may drop below $85 million. Vice Mayor Starosciak reported that the Alameda County Congestion Management Agency (ACCMA) is discussing a "Green Routes to School" program. B. Reports on Conferences and Seminars Councilmember Gregory reported that he attended a conference by Urban Habitat, and a session on SB 375 at the David Brower Center in Berkeley. C. Reports on City Council Committees None. 12. CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS Councilmember Gregory commented that he attended the opening of the TeachBar and the Principled Academy ribbon-cutting.
