MINUTES Page 15 <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting-January 19, 2010 <br />• Amanda Kerr v. City of San Leandro, et al., sexual harassment, gender <br />discrimination, retaliation, Bane Act and false imprisonment claims, in the amount <br />of $35,000 <br />As part of the settlement, the parties agree that the City and Kamilah Jackson, Amanda <br />Kerr, Taiwo Pena-Hornung and Christina Tiletile settle the lawsuits brought against the <br />City of San Leandro, J. DeWayne Stancill and other named defendants. The parties <br />emphasize there were unfortunate misunderstandings that may have led to ill-considered <br />allegations that they now regret, and for which they apologize. <br />11. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS <br />A. Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies <br />Councilmember Reed reported on the Alameda County Housing Authority's budget <br />situation, and its decision to lower its payment standards. The decision would result in <br />tenants having to pay a higher portion of their rents. <br />Councilmember Prola reported that at the recent Alameda County Mosquito Abatement <br />District Board meeting, the Board was provided with an update on West Nile Virus. <br />The District will be conducting its ethics training in the near future. <br />Mayor Santos reported that at ACTIA's Administration, Legislation and Finance (ALF) <br />Committee meeting, it was reported that ACTIA's revenues may drop below $85 <br />million. <br />Vice Mayor Starosciak reported that the Alameda County Congestion Management <br />Agency (ACCMA) is discussing a "Green Routes to School" program. <br />B. Reports on Conferences and Seminars <br />Councilmember Gregory reported that he attended a conference by Urban Habitat, and a <br />session on SB 375 at the David Brower Center in Berkeley. <br />C. Reports on City Council Committees <br />None. <br />12. CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />Councilmember Gregory commented that he attended the opening of the TeachBar and the <br />Principled Academy ribbon-cutting. <br />
