Senior Center Ph 2 - FF&E 3 March 1, 2010 <br />City Council Committee Review and Action <br />On December 7, 2009 a discussion of the possible funding of the FF&E with the Facilities <br />Committee was held. <br />Applicable General Plan Policy <br />• Policy 50.01--Access to senior services should be improved through planning, advocacy, and <br />the use of City resources to address identified needs <br />• Action 5.01-A Develop a senior center <br />Environmental Review <br />The project for the construction work was categorically exempt. <br />Code Compliance Review <br />A City of San Leandro Building Permit was obtained for this work. <br />Board/Commission Findings <br />The Senior Commission provided input on the furnishing of the facility. <br />Fiscal Impact <br />Fixtures, furnishings, and equipment (FF&E) for the building is estimated at $300,000. <br />Budget Authority <br />• The 2008-09 Fiscal Year Budget adopted by Resolution No. 2008-058 on June 2, 2008 <br />allocated Joint Project Area funds for construction of the improvements in Account No. 962- <br />86-064, HUD EDI Grant Funds in Account No. 150-43-162, and CDBG Funds in Account <br />No. 165-43-192 <br />• The City and Redevelopment Agency executed a Cooperation Agreement, not to exceed <br />$13,000,000, to fund the project <br />• The 2009-010 Fiscal Year budget adopted by Resolution No. 2009-070 on June 1, 2009 <br />allocated $200,000 in funding for Emergency Operations Center (EOC) supplies, which will <br />be located in the Senior Center <br />• $300,000 of Park Development Funds is requested by this action <br />~ ~ ~ ~~ <br />Perry Carter, Interim Finance Director <br />
