MINUTES Page 11 <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting-March 1, 2010 <br />Authority (EBDA), StopWaste.org, and the Local Agency Formation Commission <br />(LAFCO). <br />B. Reports on Conferences and Seminars <br />None. <br />C. Reports on City Council Committees <br />1. Facilities and Transportation Committee Meeting of February 9, 2010. Accepted <br />as submitted. <br />Vice Mayor Starosciak expressed support for opening the Senior Community <br />Center, so that the City could begin collecting revenue from facility rentals. <br />The Council made several comments on the BRT item, including on the Locally <br />Preferred Alternative, staff recommendations, correction to the Highlights, and the <br />upcoming Council work session. <br />Mr. Hollister outlined the timeline for the new downtown parking garage. <br />Mayor Santos commented on San Leandro's share of federal stimulus funds, <br />noting that Congressman Pete Stark offered to write a letter to the Obama <br />Administration on San Leandro's behalf. <br />Councilmember Stephens suggested that the Council could consider curtailing its <br />lobbying efforts if these efforts prove ineffective in bringing revenue to the City. <br />2. Finance Committee Meeting of January 27, 2010. Accepted as submitted. <br />Recommendation for City Council Consideration: <br />a. Schedule approval of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) <br />for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2009. <br />By consensus, the City Council approved this recommendation. <br />3. Rules and Communications Committee Meeting of February 23, 2010. Accepted <br />as submitted. <br />Recommendation for City Council Consideration: <br />a. Consider approval of the proposed City Council agenda format changes. <br />
