Primary Funding Criteria <br />- Service Meets Critical Need (i.e. food, housing, homelessness, health, mental health) or <br />Mandated Service. <br />2. All grants are reduced from prior year funding levels. <br />San Leandro Boys & Girls Club - $0 <br />Meets Critical Need: No <br />Reasons for Not Funding: <br />• Agency requested funding for the after school program (enhance activities for teens). Although, <br />this is an important service, it does not meet a critical basic need. <br />Buildine Futures with Women and Children - $21,000 <br />Meets Critical Need: Housing/Homelessness <br />Reasons for Funding: <br />• Number of San Leandro residents served is high (250) <br />• San Leandro based agency which is at risk of closing due to potential loss of $400,000 in funding <br />next year <br />• This is a critical service <br />CALICO - 0 <br />Meets Critical Need: No <br />Reasons for Not Funding: <br />• Agency requested funding for the Child Abuse Intervention Program in which forensic interviews <br />are conducted of abused children. Although this is a very important service, it does not meet a <br />critical basic need. <br />CRIL - 0 <br />Meets Critical Need: No <br />Reasons for Not Funding: <br />• Agency requested funding for independent living services (support and advocacy) for people <br />with disabilities. Although this is a very important service, it does not meet a critical basic need. <br />Davis Street Family Resource Center -Family Support Services - $35,000 <br />Meets Critical Need: Food, Housing/Homeless Services, Health, Mental Health, Clothing, I & R <br />Reasons for Funding: <br />Agency serves as City's one-stop resource center for a variety of social service needs (mental <br />health, health care, food, clothing, shelter information, etc.) <br />San Leandro based agency <br />Number of San Leandro residents served is high (15,000) <br />Page 1 of 5 <br />
