(33) <br />• Large agency that has access to other funding. <br />Girls Inc - $10,000 <br />Meets Critical Need: Mental Health <br />Reasons for Funding: <br />• San Leandro based agency which meets a critical need (mental health service) <br />• Pathways Counseling Service provide crisis intervention, respite care, and mental health <br />treatment services for pre-delinquent and delinquent children and their families. <br />• Serves a high number of San Leandro residents. (256) <br />International Institute of the East Bav - SO <br />Meets Critical Need: Crisis/Domestic Violence Services <br />Reasons for Not Funding: <br />• Agency requested funding for immigration legal services to help immigrant crime survivors apply <br />for lawful status, legal work authorization, and job and health benefits. <br />• Per HUD determination, service is not a CDBG eligible activity. <br />Lincoln Child Center - $0 <br />Meets Critical Need: No <br />Reasons for Not Funding: <br />• Agency requested funding for the Kinship Support Program which provides assistance to relative <br />caregivers. Although this is a very important service, it does not meet a critical basic need. <br />• The service is provided in Hayward (although the agency was willing to try to offer service closer <br />to San Leandro) and a small number of San Leandro residents are served (20) <br />Page 3 of 5 <br />
