disabilities, shelter programs, fair housing, and tenant/landlord counseling. <br />Community Development Needs -Public Facilities and Improvements <br />The City has historically utilized CDBG funds for capital improvement projects initiated by the City. <br />CDBG funds have been used for building and infrastructure improvements in eligible areas, <br />accessibility upgrade to parks and sidewalk ramps, and facility improvements for non-profit agencies <br />serving the community. The City plans to continue using available CDBG funds to fund <br />accessibility improvements to public facilities, installing wheelchair curb ramps throughout the City, <br />and assisting non-profit social service agencies serving San Leandrans with necessary facility <br />improvements. <br />Summary <br />Table 1 below summarizes the priorities, proposed activities, and objectives established in the FY <br />2010-2014 Housing and Community Development Strategic Plan.
