TRAFFIC AND ACCESS <br />I. LAVWMA may establish "No Parking" zones contiguous to the work area by posting signs supplied by the <br />City. The City will enforce parking restrictions only when LAVWMA has posted the proper signs and has <br />notified the City Engineer a minimum of 72 hours in advance of the required restriction period. <br />2. Traffic Control and Signage shall comply with the California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices <br />(California MUTCD), which was adopted by the California Department of Transportation on September 26, <br />2006. It should also comply with City Standard Details 608, A, B and C. <br />3. Construction signs, lights, barricades, etc. shall conform to the California MUTCD. <br />4. LAVWMA shall comply with the City's truck route map, unless otherwise modified by the City Engineer. <br />5. No construction materials and/or equipment shall be stockpiled or parked within the City right-of-way <br />outside of the Permit Area without the City Engineer's approval. <br />6. Site access shall be through Neptune Drive unless prior written approval is provided by the City Engineer. <br />PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND SAFETY <br />L LAVWMA shall not obstruct public pedestrian pathways with construction materials and/or equipment. This <br />condition may be waived with the prior written consent of the City Engineer for the purpose of construction <br />equipment crossing or using such pathways; provided, however, that the Bay Trail shall be closed to all <br />pedestrian or other traffic for a period of up to three (3) days during intensive construction efforts. Permittee <br />shall provide five (5) days advance notice of such closure to City. <br />2. Pedestrian protection shall be provided if work or equipment is within five (5) feet of a pedestrian way. <br />3. Access to private property shall be maintained at all times, except for temporary delays to allow movement of <br />trucks or construction equipment. <br />NOISE, DUST, SITE CLEANUP AND HOURS OF WORK <br />1. Noise - Level of noise shall not exceed 89 dBA at 50 feet. <br />2. Dust - LAVWMA shall comply with the requirements of the Federal Clean Water Act. Dust and silt shall be <br />kept to a minimum and be removed from the site. No silt, sawcut slurry or any other debris shall be allowed <br />to flow into storm drains. Catchbasins shall be sandbagged prior to the start of sawcutting or a vacuum <br />system utilized. <br />3. Cleanup — The construction site and the areas of the Bay Trail and the public streets that are impacted by the <br />construction activities shall be kept clean and all debris removed at the end of each working day. <br />4. Hours of Work — Normal construction hours shall be from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through <br />Friday. If the City and Permittee mutually determine that the work is disrupting traffic to unacceptable <br />levels, the work hours may be modified. No work shall be done outside these times without prior written <br />approval of the City Engineer. No work shall be done on Sundays or holidays without prior written approval <br />of the City Engineer. Truck hauling activities shall be restricted to 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday <br />through Friday, unless otherwise approved in writing by the City Engineer. There shall be no truck hauling <br />activity on Sundays or holidays unless otherwise approved in writing by the City Engineer. Hours of work <br />may be extended to include Saturdays with the prior written approval of the City Engineer to enable work to <br />
