Alameda County Congestion Management Agency <br />Alameda County Transportation Improvement Authority <br />Merger Implementation Plan <br />The Merger Action Plan steps have been grouped into the following major <br />services areas, each of which contains a series of discrete subcategories: <br />^ Agency Formation <br />^ Human Resources <br />^ Finance -Accounting, Purchasing and Budgeting <br />^ General Administration <br />^ Programs and Planning <br />^ Programming and Grant Management <br />^ Capital Project Delivery <br />^ Future Actions <br />As stated in the July 2009 report, mergers or consolidations require a <br />commitment to long-term goals. Once the project has begun, the process <br />should move deliberately in accordance with an agreed upon <br />implementation plan and schedule. The Merger Action Plan described in <br />this report provides a course and plan to guide CMA and ACTIA staff and <br />Boards of Directors to strategically and successfully merge the agencies. <br />Attachment B provides a more extensive timeline of significant events and <br />milestones expected to occur during the merger project. <br />Management Partners, Inc. 5 <br />
