MITIGATION MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM <br />FOR THE KAISER SAN LEANDRO MEDICAL CENTER /MIXED-USE RETAIL DEVELOPMENT PROJECT <br />Monitoring Responsibility Implementation and <br />Environmental Impact Mitigation Measures Monitoring Timeline <br />Climate Change <br />CC-1. The proposed project would emit <br />levels of greenhouse gases that would <br />exceed the BAAQMD per capita <br />threshold. Thus, the proposed project <br />would have a significant impact on the <br />environment. <br />CC-1.1 Incorporate Alternative-fueled Vehicles into Construction Eouiament Fleet. <br />In accordance with BAAQMD BMPs, the project applicants shall incorporate into the <br />construction fleet mix a minimum of 15 percent of construction vehicles and <br />equipment operated by alternative fuels. <br />CC-1.2 Use Recycled Construction Materials. <br />Where feasible, the project applicants shall use recycled, rapidly renewable, <br />reclaimed, and/or certified components in the construction of the Mixed-Use Retail <br />Development and hospital support buildings. <br />CC-1.3 Recycle Construction Material Waste. <br />In accordance with BAAQMD BMPs, the project applicants shall recycle a minimum <br />of 50 percent of all project construction waste and demolition materials. <br />CC-1.4 Use Local Construction Materials. <br />In accordance with BAAQMD BMPs, the project applicants shall obtain a minimum <br />of 10 percent of building materials from local sources, where feasible. <br />CC-1.5 Incorporate GHG Reduction Measures for Maintenance Activities. <br />The project applicants shall ensure that the following measures are implemented <br />• Provide infrastructure for the use of electric landscape equipment during <br />landscaping activities. Building design shall allow for 10 percent of all Kaiser <br />Medical Center facilities and 20 percent of Mixed-Use Retail Development <br />landscaping equipment to be electrically operated. <br />. Xeroscaping and water efficient irrigation shall be incorporated into the project <br />design. <br />CC-1.6 Incoroorate Waste and Recycling Programs. <br />The project applicants shall ensure that design features incorporate waste and <br />recycling programs including, but not limited to: <br />• Waste and recycing receptacles along the bike and pedestrian pathways <br />throughout the development. <br />San Leandro Planning Services Prior to issuance of building <br />permits <br />Prior to issuance of building <br />San Leandro Planning Services permits <br />Prior to issuance of <br />San Leandro Public Works demolition and/or building <br />Department, Environmental permits <br />Services Division <br />Prior to issuance of building <br />San Leandro Building and Safety Permits <br />Services Division <br />Prior to issuance of building <br />San Leandro Planning Services Permits <br />San Leandro Public Works Prior to issuance of building <br />Department, Environmental permits <br />Services Division <br />April 22, 2010 Kaiser Permanente San Leandro Medical Center and Mixed-Use Retail Development Project 20/22 <br />
