MITIGATION MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM <br />FOR THE KAISER SAN LEANDRO MEDICAL CENTER /MIXED-USE RETAIL DEVELOPMENT PROJECT <br />Environmental Impact <br />Mitigation Measures <br />Monitoring Responsibility Implementation and <br />Monitoring Timeline <br />• Post and maintain current information on recycling within the proposed buildings. <br />The information may cover cell phone recycling, household battery and household <br />hazardous waste recycling, and recycling (composting) of organic waste. <br />. Provide adequate area in building design to accommodate receptacles. <br />CC-1.7 Incorporate Water Efficient Fixtures and Appliances. San Leandro Building and Safety Prior to issuance of building <br /> Services Division permits <br />Water-efficient fixtures and appliances shall be incorporated at a minimum 50 <br />percent compliance by the Kaiser Medical Center and in all of the Mixed-Use Retail <br />Development. <br />CC-1.8 Incorporate Energv Efficient Measures bevond Title 24. San Leandro Building and Safety <br /> <br />The Mixed-Use Retail Development and the Hospital Support Building at the Kaiser Services Division <br />Prior to issuance of building <br />Medical Center shall achieve a minimum of a 15 percent beyond Title 24 reduction permits <br />in energy usage. <br />CC-1.9 Incorporate Energv Efficient Lighting. San Leandro Building and Safety <br /> <br />The project applicants shall require future building owners and tenants to use Services Division <br />Prior to issuance of building <br />energy efficient lighting, to the extent feasible and appropriate. At the minimum, all permits <br />non-hospital buildings shall achieve a 15 percent reduction in energy use associated <br />with lighting over existing Title 24 standards. <br /> San Leandro Building and Safety <br />CC-1.10 Incorporate Passive Solar Features into Proiect Design. Services Division prior to issuance of building <br />The project applicants shall incorporate passive solar design features into the permits <br />buildings, which may include roof overhangs or canopies that block summer shade, <br />but that allow winter sun, from penetrating south facing windows. <br /> San Leandro Building and Safety <br />CC-1.11 Use Energv Efficient Roofing Materials. Services Division <br />Prior to issuance of building <br />All roofing materials used in commercial/retail buildings at the Mixed-Use Retail permits <br />Development shall be Energy Star® certified. All roof products shall also be certified <br />to meet American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) high emissivity <br />requirements. <br />CC-1.12 Incorporate Trees and Vegetation into Proiect Design. San Leandro Building and Safety <br /> Services Division <br />Prior to issuance of building <br />Trees and other shade structures shall be incorporated into the Mixed- Use Retail permits <br />Development to maximize summer shade and to minimize winter shade.
