- Absolutely do not close Bridge Road.
- Absolutely do not close off Bridge. Most of us enter MacArthur
(there).
- Bad idea (closing Bridge). This is how I get to work. Can never
turn left from Collier into Estudillo due to excessive traffic.
- The pedestrian plaza is a nice idea, but I'm worried about
exiting the neighborhood. Traffic lights on MacArthur/Estudillo
would have to be modified to allow access out of our neighbor-
hood from MacArthur!
Option B: Parallel Parking on Both Sides w/Center Median
+ Left turn lane (?)
+ Yes on Creekside Community (church) center on Piper's
property.
+ Yes on Piper property for community center (church).
+ Option B!
+ Yes on Pipers property (for church).
+ Option B excellent! (Should have) no right turn on red at
MacArthur.
+ Put lights between Dutton and Estudillo.
+ A median from Dutton to Estudillo would be excellent, and
hopefully slow down traffic.
+ Necklace of lights from Dutton to Joaquin (west side) between
new ornamental lighting (poles), similar to necklace of lights
around Lake Merritt; can be subsidized by citizens through
donations with recognition plaques.
+ Parking is more important. The more the better. Median is
pretty, let's have turn around places in median.
+ Center planting sounds good. Need a couple cross walks
between Dutton and Estudillo. Lots of good possibilities pre-
sented. Housing development for old nursery property sounds
good! Need more clear speed limit signs on MacArthur!
+ Bike lane a great idea.
+ Great idea for shared bike lane and parking. Median should go
along (whole) corridor. YES.
+ The housing on the Evergreen site is a good idea, especially
with street side retail.
+ Combine area from Jake's Lion to Bagel Shop with small shops
an off street parking and a park.
+ Evergreen housing is pivotal to development.
+ Highly approve of proposal for Evergreen development.
+ I think the Evergreen site would make a nice park, with some
new buildings too for businesses. Housing doesn't seem appro-
priate.
+ We need parking on both sides, otherwise cars coming from
the opposite side will not easily be able to access the retail. How
about angle on the retail side, parallel on opposite and then
median strip with foliage.
+ I like the tree grate/grill idea (for tree wells). It seems like it
would last a while too, compared to the brick work.
+ Love the center median with trees -buffers noise from the
freeway!
+ This bike lane a better idea than A.
+ Leave the trees (along the freeway wall) alone.
+ Closing Bridge Ave (for plaza or parking court) great!
+ Widen sidewalk along Creek ... lighting.
+ Great.
+ A nice bridge lookout with lighting would be excellent; would
make a nice viewpoint for our beautiful creek!
+ sticker
+ Need parking on east side for drivers exiting 580 at Joaquin.
+ Beautiful corners (needed at Bridge Ave) but keep access from
Estudillo to MacArthur.
+ Put pillars on either side of street (at Bridge Ave) with
"Estudillo Estates' on bronze plaques.
+ Great blocked street (Bridge Ave) with Plaza. Perhaps a foun-
tain and round tables (too).
+ We like the plaza idea closing Bridge Ave.
+ Turning left onto Estudillo from that part of Estudillo Estates
north of Estudillo is difficult. If Bridge Ave. is closed it will be
worse.
+ Great! Yes! (i.e., closing Bridge Ave.)
+ Right hand lane for turns (needed at Estudillo). This will speed
up thru traffic.
+ I like this! (trees in parking zone between cars)
+ Parallel parking on both sides is a good idea; if only side it
restricts access to retail.
- A3 -
