' POTENTIALLY
ISSUES POTENTIALLY SIGNIFICANT LESS THAN NO
SIGNIFICANT UNLESS SIGNIFICANT IMPACT SOURCES
ISSUES MITIGATION IMPACT
INCORPORATED
EXPLANATION: The project area exists as a mostly developed urban environment. The proposed project includes streetscape and
design elements that will enhance the commercial and business environment; calm traffic and enhance pedestrian movement; and
create an attractive city gateway along a specific portion of MacArthur Boulevard. No impacts related to traffic and circulation aze
anticipated with implementation of the Plan. However, short-term roadway diversions or partial closures can be expected, especially
for elements that include construction of bulb-outs, placement of roadway medians, and modification of parking spaces. Due to the
relatively short duration of these disruptions, impacts are anticipated to be less than significant. Specific components of the project,
such as traffic calming devices aze intended to eliminate hazards to pedestrians in the vicinity. In addition, portions of the on-street
parking spaces are proposed to be modified to decrease hazards to vehicles travelling in the area. Implementation of the proposed
project is not anticipated to result in an increase in the volume of automobiles travelling on MacArthur Boulevard.
11. `PUBLIC SERVICES.'
