EXHIBIT A SCOPE OF WORK I. CONSULTANT'S SCOPE OF BASIC SERVICES: The Consultant's Basic Services consists of the services described in Paragraphs 1.0 through 6.4 below. The Consultant's Basic Services include the services of structural engineer, cost estimating building subconsultants and graphic rendering subconsultant. Phase 1.0 Project Initiation 1.1 The Consultant shall review City-provided project information. 1.2 The Consultant shall conduct Project Management Team (PMT) Meeting 1. 1.3 The Consultant shall observe each of the present Civic Center buildings in the field. 1.4 The Consultant shall prepare a project directory, project schedule, and a project goals statement. Phase 2.0 Building and Site Analysis 2.1 The Consultant shall conduct a site visit, review as-built drawings for the South Office Building and City Hall. 2.2 The consultant shall observe the structural system of the South Office Building and prepare a brief summary of the existing structural system and identify the building code issues for completing a major renovation of the building, for constructing a one story addition to the building, and for adding a second story to the building. 2.3 The Consultant shall prepare a summary of the existing mechanical and electrical system issues of the south office building. 2.4 The Consultant shall prepare a summary of the existing conditions of the South Office Building's envelope. 2.5 The Consultant shall conduct PMT Meeting 2. Phase 3.0 Analysis of Space Needs for the Council Chambers 3.1 The Consultant shall observe the existing office spaces in City Hall. 3.2 The Consultant shall review the precedent studies of council chambers collected by the City. 3.3 The Consultant shall prepare a preliminary program statement of space needs for the Council Chambers. 3.4 The Consultant shall conduct PMT Meeting 3 to confirm the City Council Chambers program statement.
