Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - June 3, 1996 Page - 10 - <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS (continued) <br /> B. Heron Bay (Roberts Landing) Maintenance Assessment District Public <br /> Input Hearing. <br /> The City Clerk noted this was a public input hearing only; no action <br /> was required. Bob Rockett presented the staff report and said the <br /> hearing was on the contents of the Engineer's Report. He said Citation <br /> Homes currently owns all properties to be assessed. He noted an <br /> additional public hearing would be held on June 17th. <br /> The Hearing was then opened to the Public. <br /> John Hughes, Citation Homes, said the assessment affects only <br /> Citation's property; no other properties are involved. <br /> Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, said he supports the project as <br /> long as potential homebuyers are advised of the assessment. Mr. Hughes <br /> noted this is a maintenance assessment district only; full disclosure <br /> will be made to homebuyers. <br /> There being no further comments from the public, on motion of Council <br /> Member Young, seconded by Council Member Lothrop and carried <br /> unanimously (7), the Public Hearing was closed. <br /> CONVENE. ROLL CALL <br /> PRESENT: Agency Members Galvan, Glaze, Loeffler, Lothrop, Polvorosa, <br /> Young; Chair Corbett <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> 3. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> Public Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person. The public is invited <br /> to make comments related to Agenda items or other items at this time. <br /> A. Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, said every time a home is sold it <br /> increases in value; fees collected by special districts have increased; <br /> and discussed funds paid for education from property taxes. He said <br /> the City might be able to increase its share of property taxes. <br />
