Resolution No. 96 -86, Resolution Designating Restricted Parking, No <br /> Parking, Vehicles Over 6 Feet High, Title VI, Chapter 1 of the San <br /> Leandro Municipal Code, Dutton Avenue (provides for no parking of <br /> vehicles over 6 feet high on Dutton Avenue, south side, beginning at a <br /> point 36 feet from the west curbline of Chetland Road and extending 64 <br /> feet westerly). (1022) <br /> F. Matter of Modifications to City Council Meeting Procedures. <br /> Ordinance No. 96 -07, Ordinance Amending Municipal Code Relating to City <br /> Council Meeting Starting Time (amends Municipal Code to change regular <br /> meeting starting time from 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.). <br /> - Passed to Print (1413/2416) <br /> Minute Order No. 96 -17, Motion Amending Council Meeting Procedures <br /> (modifies meeting procedures related to Work Sessions, Closed Sessions, <br /> Public Hearings, Public Comments and other miscellaneous procedures). <br /> The City Council approved the modifications to City Council meeting <br /> procedures, pursuant to staff report dated May 8, 1996. <br /> 7. NEW BUSINESS <br /> A. Resolution Appointing Member to Recreation and Parks Commission <br /> (District 1) - Ed Shapiro. <br /> Council Member Galvan said he is proud to appoint Mr. Shapiro, a <br /> dedicated member of the community, to the Recreation and Parks <br /> Commission. He said Mr. Shapiro has dedicated much time to young <br /> people through coaching and has been active in the school bond efforts. <br /> The following Resolution was then introduced: <br /> Resolution No. 96 -87, Resolution Appointing Member to Recreation and <br /> Parks Commission (District 1) - Ed Shapiro. (1020) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Galvan, who moved its adoption, seconded <br /> by Council Member Glaze, and carried by a majority vote (7). <br /> B. Nomination of Member to Personnel Relations Board (At Large) -- Bernard <br /> Ashcraft. <br /> Mayor Corbett requested nomination of Mr. Ashcraft to the Personnel <br /> Relations Board. She said he is uniquely qualified; he works in the <br /> areas of public training, employment opportunities, and special <br /> retraining for displaced workers. <br /> On motion by Council Member Galvan, who moved its approval, seconded by <br /> Council Member Glaze, and carried by a majority vote (7), the City <br /> Council approved the nomination of Bernard Ashcraft to the Personnel <br /> Relations Board. <br />
