Resolution No. 96 -86, Resolution Designating Restricted Parking, No Parking, Vehicles Over 6 Feet High, Title VI, Chapter 1 of the San Leandro Municipal Code, Dutton Avenue (provides for no parking of vehicles over 6 feet high on Dutton Avenue, south side, beginning at a point 36 feet from the west curbline of Chetland Road and extending 64 feet westerly). (1022) F. Matter of Modifications to City Council Meeting Procedures. Ordinance No. 96 -07, Ordinance Amending Municipal Code Relating to City Council Meeting Starting Time (amends Municipal Code to change regular meeting starting time from 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.). - Passed to Print (1413/2416) Minute Order No. 96 -17, Motion Amending Council Meeting Procedures (modifies meeting procedures related to Work Sessions, Closed Sessions, Public Hearings, Public Comments and other miscellaneous procedures). The City Council approved the modifications to City Council meeting procedures, pursuant to staff report dated May 8, 1996. 7. NEW BUSINESS A. Resolution Appointing Member to Recreation and Parks Commission (District 1) - Ed Shapiro. Council Member Galvan said he is proud to appoint Mr. Shapiro, a dedicated member of the community, to the Recreation and Parks Commission. He said Mr. Shapiro has dedicated much time to young people through coaching and has been active in the school bond efforts. The following Resolution was then introduced: Resolution No. 96 -87, Resolution Appointing Member to Recreation and Parks Commission (District 1) - Ed Shapiro. (1020) Introduced by Council Member Galvan, who moved its adoption, seconded by Council Member Glaze, and carried by a majority vote (7). B. Nomination of Member to Personnel Relations Board (At Large) -- Bernard Ashcraft. Mayor Corbett requested nomination of Mr. Ashcraft to the Personnel Relations Board. She said he is uniquely qualified; he works in the areas of public training, employment opportunities, and special retraining for displaced workers. On motion by Council Member Galvan, who moved its approval, seconded by Council Member Glaze, and carried by a majority vote (7), the City Council approved the nomination of Bernard Ashcraft to the Personnel Relations Board.
