Minutes - City of San Leandro City Council and Page - 3 - <br /> Redevelopment Agency Meeting - August 19, 1996 <br /> 2.3 Proclamation Declaring August 18 -24, 1996, as "San Leandro Bobby Sox <br /> Week in San Leandro." <br /> Mayor Corbett read the Proclamation and recognized the team for.their <br /> victories and representation of San Leandro in the All Star <br /> Championship. On behalf of the City Council, she congratulated the <br /> team for their accomplishment and wished them the best of luck in the <br /> future. The coach thanked the City for their support and mentioned <br /> that the team placed first in the district and that this was the <br /> first year for San Leandro to win at the Nationals. <br /> 3. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> None <br /> 6. NEW BUSINESS <br /> Items 6.4 through 6.10 were combined and approved via one motion, as follows, <br /> with Item 6.6 deleted in its entirety. <br /> 6.4 Resolution No. 96 -142, Resolution Appointing Members to Board of <br /> Zoning Adjustments, District 2, Melody Marr; Board of Zoning <br /> Adjustments, District 4, Frank Sidari; Recreation and Parks <br /> Commission, District 4, Richmond Marshall; Planning Commission, <br /> District 4, Mike Mahoney; and Nominating Members to the Human <br /> Resources Commission, District 2, Geraldine Mellen; Library - <br /> Historical Commission, District 2, Arnold T. Mew. <br /> (1019/1020/1018 /2024/1017) <br /> M /S /C Galvan and Glaze. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br /> The City Clerk administered the Oath of Office. <br /> 4. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> Public Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person. The public is invited <br /> to make any comments related to Agenda items, or other items of public <br /> interest, at this time. <br /> 4.1 Rick Richards, Friends of the Creek, invited the City Council to <br /> attend the Friends of the Creek Flea Market and Craft Fair at Pelton <br /> Center on Saturday, August 24, 1996. The fundraising event will have <br /> entertainment and activities throughout the day. <br /> 4.2 Larry Norry, 2532 Williams Street, asked for clarification on Consent <br /> Calendar Item 5.1; asked if the City would lose money due to the <br /> proposed gun ordinances; and congratulated the Interim City Manager <br /> on the appointment. <br />
