~ . ` AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO SUBGRANTEE SERVICE AGREEMENT COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDS EDEN COUNCIL FOR HOPE AND OPPORTUNITY (ECHO HOUSING) THIS AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT is made at San Leandro, California, as of September 17, 2001, by and between the CITY OF SAN LEANDRO, (the "City"), and Eden Council for Hope and Opportunity, (the Subgrantee"). This Amendment is made in contemplation of the following facts, understandings and intentions of the parties: A. On September 18, 2000, the City and Subgrantee entered into an Agreement ("Agreement") pertaining to Fair Housing, Rental Assistance Program, and Tenant/Landlord Counseling for the City of San Leandro, for the time period corresponding to the City's 2000- 2001 Fiscal Year, with an amount certain ($60,366), as agreed to in said Agreement. B. The City desires to amend the Agreement to amend the Scope of Services provided by Subgrantee to include the 2001-2002 Fiscal Year, July 1, 2001 through June 30, 2002 and to correspondingly increase the total amount of payment. NOW, THEREFORE, the parties agree as follows: 1. .EXHIBIT A, Scope of Service, shall be amended as follows: The Subgrantee shall provide the following service for the extended time period of July 1, 2001, through June 30, 2002. Item A: Fair Housing Type of Assistance: Complaint intake; complaint evaluation; investigation; counseling; mediation; referral. Estimated Number of Clients:3 Complaints/inquiries per month 2 race audits per month Item B: Tenant/Landlord Information, General Housing Referrals, and Rental Assistance Pro am RAP) Type of Assistance: Upon inquiries by tenant or landlord, explain rights and counsel and process RAP guarantees. Estimated Number of Clients:42/month for tenant/landlord and general referrals. 3 mediations/month 9 per year for RAP
