• <br /> Task 2 – Design <br /> Design will address the following: <br /> • Subtask 2.1: The civil and structural design elements will be developed, including <br /> specifications for site preparation. concrete footing design, and grading/drainage. K/J will <br /> base the design on the first -named equipment for the pre - fabricated structure as well as the <br /> new BFP. K/J understands that the existing BFP will not be retained as a backup unit, and <br /> that the new BFP system will be installed in the current location of the existing system. <br /> • Subtask 2.2: This subtask involves developing mechanical design elements. To accommodate <br /> the relocation of the sludge pump, modifications to the influent piping associated with the <br /> BFP will be designed. In addition, any other piping modifications required for the proper <br /> connection of the BFP will be included in the design. <br /> • Subtask 2.3: Electrical elements associated with the equipment and structure will be included <br /> in the design effort. <br /> • Subtask 2.4: The contract documents are to be prepared for work performed as part of a <br /> construction contract by general contractor. The Contractor shall prepare construction <br /> drawings and specifications in accordance with the approved plan for the facilities. Plans <br /> shall show locations and details of work as well as other modifications required to facilitate <br /> construction. Drawings and specifications shall be in a format conforming to City standards <br /> and the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction ( "Greenbook "). The . <br /> Contractor shall prepare all contract book documents conforming to the City standards. The <br /> City will supply standard contract document templates for Contractor's use. <br /> Task 3 – I3idding and Permit Support <br /> The Contractor will provide the services as follows: <br /> 1. Building Permit. The Contractor shall provide plans, specifications, and calculations as <br /> indicated below; assist in application for the building permit; and resolve questions that may <br /> arise during the permitting process. <br /> 2. Pre -bid Conference. The Contractor shall attend the pre -bid meeting. <br /> 3. Clarifications. The Contractor shall issue written clarifications to the drawings and <br /> specifications as necessary during the bid period. <br /> Deliverables <br /> The Contractor shall make submittals at the following levels of completion -10 %, 75 %, 95 %, <br /> 100 %.
