Consolidated Plan Annual Performance Report — FY 99 -00 <br /> City of San Leandro <br /> Page 8 <br /> Priority N7: Priority Community Development — Business Revitalization. <br /> Resources Used: <br /> The City applied CDBG, Redevelopment Agency, and Economic Development Agency <br /> (EDA) funding toward economic development and revitalization programs. <br /> Activities Undertaken: <br /> The CDBG program funded the Commercial Design Assistance Program and the oversight of <br /> the existing Small Business Loan Program. Twelve businesses located in Redevelopment <br /> Project Areas and Low- to Moderate- income areas were assisted with grants for design costs, <br /> resulting in highly visible improvements to blighted neighborhoods. <br /> The MacArthur Boulevard Facade Renovation Program will be carried -over to FY 2000 -01. <br /> The EDA and Redevelopment Agency provided funds for economic studies, exterior <br /> improvement grants, and design work. The EDA also assisted new businesses with referrals <br /> to additional financial resources. <br /> Geographic Distribution and Location of Expenditures: <br /> The Commercial Design Assistance Program is available in target areas along East 14i <br /> Street, West San Leandro and MacArthur Boulevard, which are in redevelopment project <br /> and /or designated low- and moderate- income areas. <br /> Matching Contributions: <br /> N/A <br />
