Consolidated Plan Annual Performance Report - F -Oo <br /> City of San Leandro <br /> Page 9 <br /> Priority #8: Priority Community Development - Public Service Support <br /> Resources Used: <br /> The City applied CDBG and Community Assistance funds to support public services. The <br /> City has for many years supported public service programs under its CDBG and Community <br /> Assistance (general funds) programs. The general fund monies are utilized for various social <br /> service programs serving extremely low- and low- income San Leandro residents. Some of <br /> the public services funded under the CDBG and Community Assistance are described under <br /> the Priority #5, Increase the availability of services and housing, and fill gaps along the <br /> continuum of care for homeless people and people at risk of becoming homeless. <br /> Activities Undertaken: <br /> The City supported 10 non -profit agencies and /or programs serving the community, <br /> including: Project Literacy, Davis Street Community Center, San Leandro Shelter for <br /> Women and Children (SLSWC), Girls and Boys Club, Stepping Stones, CALICO Center, <br /> Reclink, ECHO Housing and Emergency Shelter Program (ESP). The City also funded fair <br /> housing, tenant /landlord counseling, and the Rental Assistance Program (RAP). The RAP <br /> guarantees the rent or security deposit needed by households who experience temporary set - <br /> hacks preventing them from paying the rent or coming up with the security deposit. <br /> Geographic Distribution and Location of Expenditures: <br /> The services are available Citywide. <br /> Matching Contributions: <br /> N/A <br /> • <br />
