Consolidated Plan Annual Performance Repon - FY99.00 <br /> City of San Leandro <br /> Page 3 <br /> Priority #2: Preserve existing affordable rental and ownership housing for low- and <br /> moderate- income households. <br /> Resources Used: <br /> The City applied CDBG and Redevelopment Agency funds to further this priority. <br /> Activities Undertaken: <br /> The City contracted with Alameda County for rehabilitation services, funded with both <br /> CDBG and Redevelopment Agency Set -Aside funds. The City also provided special project <br /> minor house repair services to very low- income households. During the past year, 73 owner - <br /> occupied units were repaired or rehabilitated. The following programs were available: Minor <br /> Home Repair, Housing Rehabilitation, Disabled Access, Exterior Painting, and Seismic <br /> grants. <br /> Eight low- and moderate- income owner - occupied units were rehabilitated. The <br /> Redevelopment Agency also funded the rehabilitation of two multi - family properties, which <br /> yielded 13 long -terns affordable units. <br /> The City's Housing Division staff continued to monitor the Below Market Rate affordable <br /> housing units through written quarterly reports and site visits. There are currently 214 units <br /> in the program. <br /> Geographic Distribution and Location of Expenditures: <br /> These programs are Citywide based on household or individual eligibility. The multi -unit <br /> rehabilitation projects are located in census tracts 4323 and 4325. <br /> leverage of Non- Federal Resources: <br /> Redevelopment Agency Set -Aside funds. <br /> Matching Contributions: <br /> Some owner contribution funds were received. <br /> • <br />
