Consolidated Plan Annual Performance Report - FY 99 -00 <br /> City of San Leandro <br /> Page 4 <br /> Priority 113: Assist moderate- and middle - income first -time homebuyers. <br /> Resources Used: <br /> The City applied Redevelopment Housing Set -Aside funds to continue the First -Time <br /> Homebuyer Program, to sponsor homebuyers' seminars and to pay administrative costs of <br /> participation in the Mortgage Credit Certificate (MCC) Program. <br /> Activities Undertaken: <br /> The First -Time Homebuyer Program, in concert with several local lenders, was created to <br /> provide low - interest, deferred- payment loans to qualified low -, moderate -, and middle - <br /> income homebuyers. During the last year the Agency funded 14 second mortgages to first - <br /> time homebuyers. <br /> The City sponsored and facilitated five homebuyer seminars for prospective income - eligible <br /> first -time homebuyers. In addition to the consumer credit and homebuying education, <br /> participants received information on additional programs available through private lenders and <br /> other agencies. <br /> The City continued support of the MCC program, which is administered by the County. <br /> During the last year, four MCC certificates were made available to San Leandro residents. <br /> Geographic Distribution and Location of Expenditures: <br /> These programs are offered Citywide. <br /> Leverage of Non - Federal Resources: <br /> N/A <br /> Matching Contributions: <br /> N/A <br />
