San Leandro Collaborative By Laws Page 5 <br /> Treasurer of the SLC who shall be an appointed official of the City of San <br /> Leandro, the San Leandro Unified School District or the San Lorenzo Unified <br /> School District. The term of office of Treasurer shall be at the discretion of the <br /> Executive Committee. <br /> G. Responsibilities of' Steering Committee members include attending quarterly Committee <br /> meetings; preparing in advance for Committee meetings; communicating regularly with <br /> respective constituency; participating in ad hoc committee and other meetings as needed; <br /> supporting fundraising and other development activities; assisting with community <br /> outreach and recruitment. <br /> 1 -1. Special committees may be authorized by the Steering Committee membership and <br /> appointed by the Steering Committee President from time to time for specific purposes <br /> and periods of time. When so authorized and appointed, such committees shall perform <br /> such functions as are specifically assigned to them by the membership and report their <br /> findings or actions to the membership in writing. Progress reports may be made verbally <br /> and shall be noted in the minutes. <br /> 1. All committee assignments shall terminate at the quarterly meeting of the Steering <br /> Committee in the spring of each year. <br /> J. The term of the Steering Committee members shall be two years. <br /> K. Steering Committee members may serve for more than one term. <br /> L. These Bylaws may be amended by a majority vote of the Steering Committee <br /> membership but only after such amendment has been" proposed at a regular meeting and <br /> laid over until the next regular meeting for final action. Such proposed amendment may <br /> not be acted upon finally unless the whole membership shall have been given notice <br /> thereof at the prior meeting or by mail at least ten days prior to the date of the meeting at <br /> which final action is to be taken. <br /> M. If the Executive Committee refers any matter to the Steering Committee because the vote <br /> of the members of the Executive Committee was evenly split; the Steering Committee <br /> shall resolve the matter by a simple majority vote. <br /> I V. Staff <br /> Employees of the SLC shall be employees of the City of San Leandro.
