The project would redevelop this underutilized maritime industrial area into a revitalized area of up to 3,100 residential units, 120,000 square feet of commercial /retail space, approximately 250 marina slips, about 28 acres of interconnected open space and continuous pedestrian pathway, and associated parking. As part of a Port of Oakland endeavor, the project would also include a new wetland at the mouth of Clinton Basin. Tom is primary author for the biology chapter of the EIR for the Treasure Island Development Plan, and lcd the biology team in planning habitat restoration and enhancement on nearby Yerba Buena Island, which was also part of the project.
