Non- Professional Services Agreement — Martin Industries. Inc. DBA Climatech Page 2 <br /> The new systems will have re- settable set points, and include new variable air volume (VAV) <br /> devices for multi -zone HVAC operations. The retrofit project will also add relay panels and <br /> lighting controls (e.g. motion sensors) so that lighting can be operated for specific areas, instead <br /> of for the whole building, as it is currently configured. <br /> This project was competitively bid, with the solicitation sent out by the Finance Department in <br /> late September. Four bids were submitted on October 6, with Martin Industries, Inc. representing <br /> the low -bid. Staff anticipates up to 90 days for completion of this project. <br /> Previous City Council Action(s) <br /> At the December 7, 2009 City Council meeting, staff presented the findings of the EECS prior to <br /> its submittal to the Department of Energy, outlining the proposed projects /programs and <br /> corresponding budgets. <br /> Fiscal Impact <br /> The project will be funded through the federal Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant. <br /> Budget Authority <br /> There are adequate funds budgeted in account number 150 -18- 133 -5240. <br /> Tracy Vesely, Finance Director <br /> CONCLUSION <br /> Staff recommends approval of the Non - Professional Services Agreement with Martin Industries, <br /> Inc., DBA Climatech, for completion of the Buildings Management System project. <br />
