The Operator Interface shall incorporate comprehensive support for functions <br /> including, but not necessarily limited to, the following: <br /> 0 User access for selective information retrieval and control command <br /> execution <br /> 0 Monitoring and reporting <br /> 0 Alarm, non - normal, and return to normal condition annunciation <br /> 0 Selective operator override and other control actions <br /> 0 Information archiving, manipulation, formatting, display and reporting <br /> 0 BMS internal performance supervision and diagnostics <br /> 0 On -line access to user HELP menus <br /> 0 On -line access to current BMS as -built records and documentation <br /> 0 Means for the controlled re- programming, re- configuration of BMS <br /> operation and for the manipulation of BMS database information in <br /> compliance with the prevailing codes, approvals and regulations for <br /> individual BMS applications <br /> i. The system shall support a list of application programs configured by the users <br /> that are called up by the following means: <br /> 0 The Tools Menu <br /> 0 Hyperlinks within the graphics displays <br /> 0 Key sequences <br /> j. The operation of the control system shall be independent of the user interface, <br /> which shall be used for operator communications only. Systems that rely on an <br /> operator workstation to provide supervisory control over controller execution of <br /> the sequences of operations or system communications shall not be acceptable. <br /> 2. Navigation Trees <br /> a. The system will have the capability to display multiple navigation trees that will <br /> aid the operator in navigating throughout all systems and points connected. At <br /> minimum provide a tree that identifies all systems on the networks. <br /> b. Provide the ability for the operator to add custom trees. The operator will be <br /> able to define any logical grouping of systems or points and arrange them on the <br /> tree in any order. It shall be possible to nest groups within other groups. Provide <br /> at minimum 5 levels of nesting. <br /> c. The navigation trees shall be "dockable" to other displays in the user interface <br /> such as graphics. This means that the trees will appear as part of the display, but <br /> can be detached and then minimized to the Windows task bar or closed <br /> altogether.
