Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan and BPAC 6 February 7, 2011 <br /> Responsibilities: In general, the BPAC will be charged with advising staff on matters <br /> relating to the status and condition of bicycle and pedestrian facilities <br /> within the city <br /> Meetings: Meetings of the BPAC shall be held on an as- needed basis. It is <br /> anticipated that that BPAC will meet once or twice a year <br /> Staff recommends that City retain ten (10) of the current (16) BPAC members to serve the long- <br /> term BPAC and that the City also include the current San Leandro representative to the Alameda <br /> County Transportation Commission BPAC on the City's BPAC. The following residents of San <br /> Leandro are recommended for appointment to the permanent BPAC: <br /> I. Gil Johnson (Council District 1 Appointee) <br /> 2. Mark Estes (Council District 2 Appointee) <br /> 3. Eric Robertson (Council District 3 Appointee) <br /> 4. Paul Keener (Council District 4 Appointee) <br /> 5. Michael Wallace (Council District 5 Appointee) <br /> 6. Naomi Armenta (Council District 6 Appointee) <br /> 7. Maureen Forney (Council District 1 at- large) <br /> 8. Lisa Deering (Council District 5 at- large) <br /> 9. Bernadette Alexander (Council District 5 at- large) <br /> 10. Debra Brinson (Council District 6 at- large) <br /> 11. Jeremy Johansen (Council District 6 at- large: ACTC BPAC Representative) <br /> Current City Council Policy <br /> 2004 Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan of the Circulation Element of the City's General Plan. <br /> Previous City Council Action(s) <br /> • Approved Resolution 2003 -220 amending the prioritized list of bicycle and pedestrian <br /> projects for Measure B Funds and appropriating Measure B Bicycle and Pedestrian Funds for <br /> the update of the Bikeway Plan <br /> • Approved Resolution 2003 -221 approving a contractual services agreement with Fehr and <br /> Peers Associates. Inc. relating to the update of the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan <br /> • Approved Resolution 2004 -142 appropriating additional funds to complete the update of the <br /> Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan <br /> • Approved Resolution 2004 -157 approving the negative declaration for the 2004 Bicycle and <br /> Pedestrian Master Plan <br /> • Approved Resolution 2004 -158 adopting the 2004 Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan <br /> • Approved Resolution 2009 -164 approving a contractual services agreement with Wilbur <br /> Smith Associates relating to the update of the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan <br /> • Approved Resolution 2009 -165 approving the establishment of a Bicycle and Pedestrian <br /> Advisory Committee and appointing members <br />
