• <br /> Annual Street Sealing 2009 -10 <br /> Acceptance of Work 2 February 7, 2011 <br /> work for the Annual Overlay /Rehabilitation 2009 -10 project, but the pavement condition was <br /> found to be ideal for the double asphalt rubber chip seal application used in this Street Sealing <br /> project. The successful application of this treatment has now provided the City with another cost <br /> effective tool for maintaining streets. <br /> Analysis <br /> On July 19, 2010, the City Council awarded the construction contract for the subject project to <br /> International Surfacing Systems. Construction is now complete and is in compliance with the <br /> contract documents. The project consisted of application of surface treatments on various <br /> roadways and installation of curb ramps on Farnsworth Street in compliance with the Americans <br /> with Disabilities Act (ADA). <br /> Previous City Council Action(s) <br /> • On July 19. 2010, by Resolution No. 2010 -099, the City Council approved the resolution of <br /> award of construction contract to International Surfacing Systems for the subject project <br /> • On June 21, 2010. by Resolution No. 2010 -080, the City Council approved the plans and <br /> specifications and called for bids for the subject project <br /> Applicable General Plan Policy <br /> This action is consistent with Streets and Highway Goal No. 16 of the General Plan and Action <br /> Item 16,03: Maintenance. <br /> • <br /> Environmental Review <br /> This project was deemed categorically exempt from CEQA. <br /> Fiscal Impact <br /> • A summary of the construction contract with International Surfacing Systems is listed below: <br /> Original Contract $492,882.90 <br /> Change Orders $8,823.48 <br /> Total Contract Amount 5501.706.38 <br /> Budget Authority <br /> • 5430,698.89 was from approved Measure B budget allocations as follows: <br /> o $249.561.12 from account 144 -38 -307 <br /> o 5135.273.77 from account 144 -38 -297 <br /> o 545,864.00 for access ramp installation from account 144-38-311 <br />
