Toyon Park Restroom Replacement Sitework <br /> P&S, Call for Bids 2 May 16, 2011 <br /> Analysis <br /> The project involves completing all necessary site preparation for placement of the pre- fabricated <br /> restroom building. Such preparations include: preparation of the new building sub - grade; <br /> relocation of utility connections; installation of a new accessible parking stall; installation of a <br /> new drinking fountain; and other miscellaneous site work. Once the site has been prepared, the <br /> project contractor will coordinate with the pre- fabricated restroom vendor for delivery and <br /> installation of the new building. The existing restroom will remain open during the work, and <br /> once the new restroom is installed, the existing restroom will be demolished and removed from <br /> the site. <br /> Current Citv Council Policy <br /> To upgrade City parks and park play equipment to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act <br /> • <br /> (ADA) requirements. <br /> Previous City Council Action(s) <br /> • On December 6, 2010, by Resolution 2010 -146, the City Council authorized a sole- source <br /> contract with Public Restroom Company to provide a pre- fabricated restroom for the subject <br /> project <br /> • On June 18, 2007, by Resolution No. 2007 -078, the City Council adopted the budget for <br /> Fiscal Year 2007 -2008 that provided CIP funds in Account No. 210 -62 -008 <br /> Applicable General Plan Policy <br /> Conforms to General Plan Goal 21.01, which encourages both renovation and ADA upgrades of <br /> City parks. <br /> Permits and /or Variances Granted <br /> • A building permit for the pre- fabricated restroom will be obtained by the vendor from the <br /> Division of State Architect (DSA) <br /> • This project will obtain an electrical permit for the new electrical service to the pre- fabricated <br /> restroom <br /> City Council Committee Review and Action <br /> The project was presented to the City Council Facilities and Transportation Committee during <br /> the project update on June 8, 2010. <br />
