TITLE VII MAPS, BUILDINGS, AND SUBDIVISIONS <br /> Chapter 14 Signs <br /> (19) Primary Frontage: The front lot line as defined in <br /> • Section 7 -3 -140 of the San Leandro Zoning Ordinance. <br /> (20) Projecting Sign: A sign which projects twelve (12) <br /> inches or more beyond the wall or vertical surface of <br /> the building or structure to which it is attached, not <br /> including freestanding, roof, canopy or under - canopy <br /> signs. <br /> (21) Public Transit Seating Sign: A replaceable panel for <br /> non - accessory advertising copy installed upon a fixed or <br /> moveable bench intended for use by patrons of public <br /> transit systems. (Ordinance No. 74 -63, 11/4/74) <br /> (22) Roof Line: The top of the parapet or the midpoint <br /> between the eave line and the top of the roof. Where a <br /> building has several roof lines, the roof line for <br /> purposes of regulating the installation of a sign shall <br /> be the one belonging to that portion of the building on <br /> which or nearest to which the sign is located. Where no <br /> building is located on the nronerty, the roof line shall <br /> be twelve (12) feet above grade. (Ordinance No. 72 -34, <br /> 6/12/72) <br /> (23) Roof Sign: A sign installed upon the roof of a <br /> building, canopy, or marquee, other than a canopy sign. <br /> (Ordinance Rio. 72 -34, 6/12/72) <br /> (24) Sale or Lease Sign: A sign advertising the sale, rental <br /> or lease of the property upon which it is located. <br /> (25) Secondary Frontage. A lot line, other than the front <br /> lot line, adjacent to a street. <br /> (26) Shopping Center: A commercial facility providing <br /> primarily retail sales and services, located on a <br /> property under unified ownership or control, containing <br /> at least six (6) separate ground floor occupancies and <br /> providing parking substantially in compliance with the <br /> requirements of the Zoning Ordinance. <br /> 9/28/82 -4- <br />
