Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 7 -14 -900, such sign May be maintained within a formally established Underground Utilities District until the date designated for removal of poles and overhead wires, without necessity of complying with subsections (a) and (b) hereof, provided that the owner thereof submits to the City a written agreement to remove such sign by said date without cost or liability to the City as a result of such removal. No such sign shall be installed or maintained following the date designated for removal of poles and overhead wires. (d) Effective on the date of inclusion of a scenic roadway or scenic corridor within the General Plan of the City of San Leandro, no new sign shall be installed at any location abutting or readily visible from such roadway or corridor. Existing signs may be reconstructed in accordance with procedures set forth above until the City Council declares, as provided herein, that implementation of scenic corridor provisions has been undertaken. In_ conjunction with any action of the -City Council authorizing improvements in accordance with scenic corridor provisions, the City Council may, by resolution, declare that implementation of scenic corridor provisions has been undertaken. Within ninety (90) days following adoption of such resolution, or such other time as may be established therein, such sign shall be removed; it shall thereafter be unlawful to install or maintain such sign. (e) No such sign shall be installed on any property abutting or readily visible from a freeway, residential neighborhood or Bay Area Rapid Transit District facilities. (Ord. No. 74 -63, 11/4/74; Ord.
