Age shall not be a requirement except <br /> that the compulsory retirement age established by the County Employees Retirement Act of <br /> 1937 shall be the maximum age for all classes in the classified service and whenever a <br /> minimum age or a minimum and a maximum age limit is required by law for any class, the - <br /> Commission shall set age limits to comply with such law. <br /> 1320 Documentary Proof of Requirements <br /> • Applicants may be required to submit documentary proof that they possess the required <br /> education, licenses, certificates, or professional status, as well as evidence of satisfactory <br /> training and experience. <br /> 1324 Fingerprinting <br /> The Commission may require that candidates in an examination be fingerprinted at any <br /> stage of the examination process. Any candidate who refuses to submit to fingerprinting shall <br /> . be disqualified in the examination. <br /> 1328 Form of Application <br /> Any individual may apply to take an examination by filing a prescribed form on which <br /> he states that he meets the announced requirements for such examination and that he <br /> understands that he will be eliminated at any stage in such examination if it. develops that <br /> in fact he does riot meet the announced requirements. This form must be filed at the office <br /> of the Commission on or before the closing date specified in the examination announcement, <br /> except that when a sufficient number of applications have not been received up to the closing <br /> date, the director may accept applications in the period between the closing date and the <br /> scheduled date of the examination. Otherwise applications filed after the closing date may be <br /> accepted only on approval of the Commission. <br /> When an examination has been announced as a continuous examination as provided . <br /> in rule 1436, the closing date shall be indefinite and the period of applying shall continue until <br /> suspended or terminated by order of the Commission. <br /> This rule shall not apply where an examination is held entirely on an oral basis, or <br /> where other special circumstances make the procedure not feasible. In such case, each <br /> applicant shall file the official application form referred to in rule 1332 before the announced <br /> closing date. <br /> In promotional examinations, the preliminary forms shall be checked against personnel <br /> records. and any applicant who does not meet the announced requirements shall be <br /> disqualified in advance. <br /> 1:3:32 Filing of Official Application Form <br /> Upon completion of the written or subject matter portion of the examination, those <br /> candidates who pass shall then be required to file an official application form with the <br /> -- 2 <br /> FIRE -34 <br />
