• • <br /> Appendix C <br /> • <br /> Page 10 <br /> eligible list, such notice shall state his rating and relative standing on the List except that <br /> when candidates are eliminated in an earlier stage of the examination process as provided in <br /> Wile 1456, they may be notified of their failure to qualify at an earlier date. <br /> • <br /> • <br /> A candidate's notice of standing on an eligible list and his rating in an examination <br /> shall be disclosed only to him except that in connection with certification and appointment, . <br /> his standing and rating as an eligible may be disclosed to a department head or to a • <br /> representative of a department head. <br /> • <br /> 1463 Examination Inspection Period <br /> Each candidate may inspect his own examination papers in the office of the Commission <br /> at any time within ten days from the date of mailing notices of standing in the examination, <br /> except that copyrighted or standardized tests shall not be inspected, and that the inspection <br /> period for an examination being held on a continuous basis shall be limited to the ten -day <br /> period following the termination of continuous testing. <br /> 1470 Interview Records Confidential <br /> Each candidate is entitled to know the score he attained in the interview portion of an <br /> examination during the inspection period provided by rule 1468. Records of the interview, <br /> other than the overall score, particularly statements of the opinions of the individual <br /> interviewers regarding the qualifications of the candidate upon which the ratings given by <br /> such interviewers are based, are confidential and shall not be revealed to anyone other than <br /> the Commission or Commission staff members directly concerned with the examination. <br /> 1472 Anneal for Review of Rating <br /> If a candidate has been disqualified in the oral part of an examination and believes that <br /> such action was the result of irregular interview procedures, he may make a written appeal, <br /> giving particulars of such irregularities for review by the Comhission. Also, an appeal of <br /> disqualification in the written part of an examination may b'e made only on grounds of <br /> irregularity or clerical error. Any appeal shall specify the grounds upon which it is made and <br /> must be received in the office of the Commission within ten days of the mailing of the notices <br /> of standing in the examination. <br /> 1476 Revision of Rating.s <br /> When an appeal is upheld, the appellant's standing shall be revised accordingly and if <br /> the appeal discloses errors that affect the standing of other candidates, they shall also be <br /> revised. When the relative standing of eligibles changes as a result of such revisions, their <br /> places on the eligible list shall be changed accordingly but appointments previously made from <br /> such list shall not be affected thereby. <br /> . - - 205 <br /> FIRE - 39 <br />
