• • <br /> Appendix C <br /> Page 15 <br /> 2032 Re- Appointment to Temporary Position <br /> Any person from among the eligibles with the five (5) highest scores willing to accept <br /> temporary appointment, who is appointed to a temporary position of an as needed nature, may <br /> be re- appointed to such position on the request of the department head without having to be <br /> certified again from the list, notwithstanding the fact that at the time of such re- appointment <br /> . that person may not be within the five (5) highest scores of those eligibles willing to accept <br /> . temporary work. Nothing in this rule shall be construed to extend the maximum leng h of <br /> temporary appointments prescribed by law. <br /> This type of appointment is distinguished from permanent Service -as- Needed <br /> appointment, the methods for filling which is set forth in Rule 1713. <br /> 2040 Re- Employment Following Separation from Promotion Appointment <br /> An employee who, during his/her probationary period, is separated from reason of <br /> inability to perform the duties of a higher level position in County service to which he/she has <br /> been promoted, shall, upon request to and order of the Civil Service Commission. have his/her <br /> name placed on the County -wide re- employment list for the class from which he/she was <br /> promoted, and shall be certified from the list as provided in Rule 1532. <br /> • <br /> • <br /> • <br /> 210 <br /> FIRE - 44 <br />
