twenty -•r (24) .hour duty shift hoi_ng a full-time <br /> position completes fifteen (15) full years of City <br /> service, and in succeeding calendar years, such employee <br /> shall be entitled to a vacation leave which shall consist <br /> of nineteen (19) hours for each full calendar month of <br /> service performed, which shall be equivalent to an annual <br /> vacation leave of nine and one -half (9 -1/2) twenty -four <br /> (24) hour shifts (228 hours). <br /> In the event one (1) or more municipal holidays falls <br /> within a vacation leave, such days shall not be charged as <br /> vacation leave and the vacatior. leave shall be extended . <br /> accordingly. <br /> An employee-who is on Leave Pay status far'one (1) <br /> through fifteen (15) calendar days shall continue to <br /> accrue vacation leave for that pay period. • <br /> An employee who continues on Leave without Pay status <br /> beyond fifteen (15) calendar days shall not accrue <br /> vacation leave for those subsequent pay period(s). <br /> Vacation leave will again accrue when the employee has <br /> returned to paid status for the full pay period. <br /> 14.3 • F.molovees Assicned to Forty (401 work Week <br /> Vacation leave for such employee shall be credited at the <br /> applicable rate of accrual set forth below and shall be <br /> accrued and credited for the pay period in which it is <br /> earned. <br /> An employee holding a full-time position with one (1) <br /> through five (5) years of full -time service shall be <br /> entitled to a vacation leave which shall consist of five - <br /> sixths (5/6) work days for each full calendar month of <br /> service performed for an annual entitlement of ten (10) <br /> work days. <br /> In the year in which an employee holding a full -time <br /> position completes five (5) full years of City service; <br /> such employee shall be entitled to fifteen and three- <br /> quarters (15 -3/4) work days of vacation for service <br /> performed. <br /> For each full year of full -time City service completed <br /> thereafter, three - quarters (3/4) of a work day vacation <br /> shall be added up to a maximum of twenty -five (25) work <br /> • days of vacation. • <br /> In the event one (1) or more municipal holidays falls <br /> within a vacation leave, such days shall not be charged as <br /> vacation leave and the vacation leave shall be extended <br /> accordingly. <br /> • <br /> -13- <br /> 237 <br /> • <br /> • <br />
