Individuals that voluntarily bid across platoons will be- <br /> expected to move their vacation and holiday selections to <br /> available time slots on their new platoon. For each three <br /> (3) shifts of vacation /holiday that needs to be moved, <br /> three (3) time slots must be available for adequate <br /> selection. (a time slot = 3 consecutive shifts). The <br /> employee must pick if adequate time is available. If <br /> adequate time is not available, the employee may opt to <br /> carry the remaining leave time.to the following calendar <br /> year and must make that selection in the third round of <br /> the vacation /holiday selection process. • <br /> • 1. Station assignments such as Acting Battalion Chief, <br /> Hazardous Materials Technician and Apparatus Committee <br /> Members may have specific personnel assigned to a special <br /> station. Other operations projects designated by the Fire <br /> Chief may be assigned to specific stations. Personnel <br /> bidding to those stations must fulfill those special <br /> projects. For other assignments, the station location <br /> shall be flexible and subject to discussion between the <br /> Fire Chief and the SLFFA. <br /> • m. If an "open" bid process were to take place, then the Fire <br /> Chief and the SLFFA would discuss the procedures to <br /> facilitate this process. <br /> 36.3 Mutual Agreement Transfers: <br /> a. Mutual agreement transfers, within rank, may be made at <br /> the individuals request with both Captains' and Battalion <br /> Chiefs' approval. Cross platoon transfers may be <br /> authorized under this section. <br /> section 37. Licenses and Certification <br /> The employee will notify the employee's immediate <br /> supervisor (60) calendar days prior to the <br /> expiration or immediately upon suspensions or revoking of <br /> the employee's Drivers license, EMT certificate and First - <br /> Responder Defibrillator Certificate and will assume the <br /> responsibility for updating those certifications as <br /> provided below. <br /> All EMT and Defibrillator training will be scheduled <br /> during the employee's working hours. If the employee <br /> misses the City's regularly scheduled training for any <br /> reason other than scheduled training schools, vacation or <br /> holidays, it shall be the employee's responsibility to <br /> make up the training at no cost to the City. The City <br /> will pay the certification fees, if any, of the EMT or <br /> First Responder Defibrillator Certificates required by the <br /> City. <br /> -36- <br /> 260 <br />
