File Number: 13-244 <br />Previous Actions <br />·On October 1, 2012, by Resolution No. 2012-112, the City Council awarded a construction <br />contract to Calstate Construction, Inc. on the subject project <br />·On July 16, 2012, by Resolution No. 2012- 085, the City Council authorized the City <br />Manager to approve the plans and specifications and call for bids on the subject project <br />·On February 17, 2009, by Resolution No. 2009-023, the City Council authorized the <br />application for grant funds from East Bay Regional Parks District under Measure WW, the <br />Park Bond Extension <br />Committee Review and Actions <br />This project was presented at the May 9, 2012 City Council Facilities and Transportation <br />Committee meeting. <br />Applicable General Plan Policies <br />This project is consistent with General Plan Goal No. 21 - Rehabilitation of existing parks <br />policy. <br />Permits and/or Variances Granted <br />The contractor obtained a building permit from the City of San Leandro Community <br />Development Department for installation of the shade structures. <br />Environmental Review <br />A CEQA review was completed for the project and it was determined Categorically Exempt in <br />accordance with CEQA section 15301, Existing Facilities. A Notice of Exemption for this <br />project was filed with Alameda County on March 26, 2010. <br />Code Compliance Review <br />All improvements meet current ADA accessibility requirements . <br />Summary of Public Outreach Efforts <br />·A public meeting was held onsite on August 20, 2011 prior to the start of project design <br />and questionnaires were also sent out by the Recreation and Human Services Department <br />to prior users of the group picnic areas <br />·This project was presented at the May 9, 2012 City Council Facilities and Transportation <br />Committee <br />·The conceptual design was posted on the City’s website and presented at the San <br />Leandro Farmer’s Market on Wednesday , July 18, 2012 <br />Fiscal Impacts <br />The total cost of the Marina Group Picnic Area renovations project was $988,000.
