City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: June 3, 2013 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:13-205 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Chris Zapata <br />City Manager <br />BY:Uchenna Udemezue <br />Engineering & Transportation Director <br />FINANCE REVIEW:David Baum <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE:ADOPT: Resolution Approving a Consulting Services Agreement with Kier & <br />Wright Civil Engineers and Surveyors , Inc. for the Fiber Conduit for <br />Broadband Project, Project No. 2013.0320 (provides for seven miles of <br />underground conduit and splice boxes, ready for future fiber optic cable <br />installation for the expansion of San Leandro's fiber optic network (Lit San <br />Leandro), at a cost of $66,469 using DFSI funds) <br />WHEREAS, an agreement between the City of San Leandro and Kier & Wright Civil <br />Engineers and Surveyors, Inc., a copy of which is attached, has been presented to this City <br />Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended approval of said agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />That said agreement is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby <br />authorized. <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 5/29/2013
