• Summary report in pdf form <br /> STEP#3—CONCEPTUAL PLANS & COST ESTIMATES <br /> Consultant shall prepare conceptual plans for SLPD use of the South Offices Building and SLPD Building <br /> based on the findings in Steps#1 and#2. Two layouts of each building will be prepared. The first will be <br /> optimized for efficiency(i.e. optimal functionality, best use of space, ease of access, etc.), and the second <br /> layout will be optimized for cost. These conceptual plans will show major division units including but not <br /> limited to those identified in the project description above, plus any recommended changes. For example, <br /> conceptual plans shall include layout of the workstations, lead dispatcher area, supervisor's office break <br /> area, etc. for the Dispatch Division. <br /> Scope of work shall also include: <br /> • Discussion of any construction phasing requirements as necessary to ensure continuous 24/7/365 <br /> operations. <br /> • Inclusion of operational security measures which provide safe and secure points of public access <br /> at South Offices Building Discuss during business hours, SLPD Building during afterhours, shared <br /> use of restrooms at the South Offices Building (if applicable), etc. <br /> • Conceptual resolutions to any relevant code/life safety/egress code and accessibility issues. <br /> These will be reviewed with the San Leandro Chief Building Official for acceptability. <br /> • Review of each conceptual layout with the SLPD Facility Committee with discussion of any <br /> changes required. <br /> • Preparation of cost estimate showing total project development cost including site remodel(if <br /> applicable), building remodel and soft costs anticipated for each layout <br /> • Discussion of cost estimates and any reconciliation between scope, quality and budget with the <br /> SLPD Facility Committee <br /> Step 3 includes one meeting with SLPD Facility Committee and one meeting with City of San Leandro <br /> Chief Building Official to be scheduled on same visit. <br /> Schedule: Three weeks for completion after Step#2. <br /> Deliverables (to be posted on secure cloud site): <br /> • Site and building conceptual plans in AutoCAD for work for South Offices Building and first floor of <br /> Police Department Building <br /> • Preliminary cost estimates in Microsoft Excel including all construction and soft costs anticipated <br /> for each conceptual plan <br /> • Meeting Notes <br /> • Summary design material in pdf form <br /> Consulting Services Agreement between October 22, 2013 <br /> City of San Leandro and INDIGO Architects—Exhibit A Page 18 of 24 <br />
