Resolution Appointing Member to the Recreation and Parks Commission <br /> (District 1) - Ed Martin. <br /> Council Member Galvan said Mr. Martin is a 52-year resident of San <br /> Leandro, and Council Member Galvan has known him and his family for 15 <br /> years. Mr. Martin is the Director of Operations for San Leandro <br /> Disposal and is an avid golfer, which is one of the reasons why he is <br /> interested in serving on the Recreation and Parks Commission. <br /> The following Resolution was then introduced: <br /> Resolution No. 95-48, Resolution Appointing Member to the Recreation <br /> and Parks Commission (District 1) - Ed Martin . (1020) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Galvan, who moved its adoption, seconded <br /> by Council Member Polvorosa, and carried by a majority vote (7) . <br /> Following adoption of the Resolution, the City Clerk administered the <br /> Oath of Office. <br /> C. Minute Order No. 95-15, Matter of Nomination of Member to Human <br /> Resources Commission (District 3) - Virginia Boepple. (2024) <br /> On motion by Council Member Polvorosa, who moved its approval , seconded <br /> by Council Member Myers, and carried by a majority vote (7) , the City <br /> Council approved the nomination of Virginia Boepple to the Human <br /> Resources Commission (District 3) . <br /> D. Resolution No. 95-49, Resolution Appointing the Development Services <br /> Director and the Police Chief as the Designated Officials to Determine <br /> If the Public Convenience and Necessity Are Met for the Issuance of <br /> Licenses by the Alcoholic Beverage Control Department (appoints the <br /> Development Services Director and the Police Chief to make <br /> determinations on the concentration of liquor licenses prior to the <br /> issuance of any new liquor licenses) . (1180) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Perry, who moved its adoption, seconded by <br /> Council Member Polvorosa, and carried by a majority vote (7) . <br /> E. Minute Order No. 95-16, Motion Directing Staff to Develop Criteria to <br /> Make the Determination that Granting a Liquor License Would Meet the <br /> Public Convenience and Necessity. (1180) <br /> On motion by Council Member Loeffler, who moved its approval , seconded <br /> by Council Member Polvorosa, and carried by a majority vote (7) , the <br /> City Council directed staff to develop criteria to make the <br /> determination that granting a Liquor License would meet the public <br /> convenience and necessity. <br />
