Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - May 15, 1995 Page - 7 - <br /> NEW BUSINESS (continued) <br /> Mayor Corbett said it is important that each Council Member have the <br /> ability to clarify their intentions, and she was trying to be sure the <br /> record reflected what was intended. If this is not done, the Minute Order <br /> will only reflect the vote. She felt the issue should be clarified. She <br /> said the letter has been sent. <br /> The Council further discussed the letter and whether it was prudent to send <br /> it to the Boards and Commissions without the knowledge of the full Council . <br /> The Minutes were approved as submitted. <br /> A. Resolution Appointing Member to Human Resources Commission (District 4) <br /> - Shirley Kerr. <br /> Council Member Kerr introduced Mrs. Kerr and her husband, Al . He said <br /> Mrs. Kerr has been active in the PTA and has served on the San Leandro <br /> Hospital Board of Directors. She is a sustaining member and Past <br /> President of the San Leandro Hospital Auxiliary, volunteers at the <br /> hospital and, although retired from the Chamber of Commerce, volunteers <br /> there as well . <br /> The following Resolution was then introduced: <br /> Resolution No. 95-78, Resolution Appointing Member to Human Resources <br /> Commission (District 4) - Shirley Kerr. (2024) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Kerr, who moved its adoption, seconded by <br /> Council Member Myers, and carried by a majority vote (6) , with Council <br /> Member Polvorosa absent (1) . <br /> The City Clerk administered the Oath of Office to Mrs. Kerr <br /> Mrs. Kerr thanked the City Council for the opportunity and said she <br /> will do the best she possibly can. <br /> B. Resolution No. 95-79, Resolution Appointing Member to Recreation and <br /> Parks Commission (SLUSD) - Lee Jones. (1020) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Loeffler, who moved its adoption, seconded <br /> by Council Member Perry, and carried by a majority vote (6) , with <br /> Council Member Polvorosa absent (1) . <br /> The City Clerk administered the Oath of Office to Mr. Jones. <br /> Mr. Jones thanked the City Council and the School District for this <br /> opportunity. <br />
