He noted the Santa Cruz park has been litigation-free since <br /> 1978. <br /> Mayor Corbett said this is a great partnership between the City, <br /> parents and kids: She suggested staff, look into rules for use of the <br /> park, as used in other cities. <br /> Minute Order No. 95-60, Matter of Proposed Skateboard Area at Thrasher <br /> Park. <br /> On motion by Council Member Loeffler, who moved its approval , seconded <br /> by Council Member Kerr, and carried by a majority vote (7) , the City <br /> Council authorized staff to proceed with construction of a Skateboard <br /> Park at Thrasher Park and authorized expenditure of funds. <br /> A. Resolution Appointing Member to Board of Zoning Adjustments (District <br /> 2) - Shelia Young. <br /> Council Member Perry said Ms. Young has been a San Leandro resident <br /> since 1977, residing in the Halcyon Foothill area. Ms. Young owns <br /> Young's Secretarial in Oakland and was a member and Chair of the <br /> Oakland Housing Commission and on the Board of Directors of the Oakland <br /> Chamber of Commerce and the Oakland Zoo. <br /> The City Clerk administered the Oath of Office. <br /> Resolution No. 95-149, ResolutiornAppointing Member to Board of Zoning <br /> Adjustments (District 2) - Shelia Young. (1019) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Perry, who moved its adoption, seconded by <br /> Council Member Polvorosa, and carried by a majority vote (6) , with <br /> Council Member Kerr absent (1) . <br /> B. Resolution No. 95-150, Resolution Appointing-Member—to-Human Resources <br /> Commission (At Large) - Irwin A. Herman. (2024) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Galvan, who moved its adoption, seconded <br /> by Council Member Polvorosa, and carried by a majority vote (6) , with <br /> Council Member Kerr absent (1) . <br /> Mayor Corbett said Dr. Herman has been involved with bringing the <br /> Rotocare Clinic to San Leandro. He and his wife Eileen have been <br /> active volunteers. She said she looks forward to the special interests <br /> and background he will bring to the Human Resources Commission <br /> The City Clerk administered the Oath of Office. <br />
